OUR HISTORY

Our founder, Maria Bedoya has had the honor to work with empowering agencies such as, Women in Distress of Broward County, Henderson Behavioral Health, and Multi-Cultural Health Alliance.

In this journey, she discovered the for advocacy, support, and education surrounding issues concerning women, mental health, racial inequality, and overall the need for women to support other women.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, she knew she could make a difference amongst women of all walks of life to explore, heal, and grow.

Empowered Woman LLC was founded with the intention to bring women together to empower, educate, and engage with other women who have faced similar struggles and challenges.

Maria has offered trainings and workshops for Child Protection Services and Child Welfare workers on topics of domestic violence and substance abuse. Our goal is to collaborate with other counseling professionals to bring forth programs, services, and opportunities to grow.
